• The minutes felt agonizingly long and it took every ounce of restraint to not barrel into that damn fog the longer it took Arabella to come out, especially considering the second she stepped into it our connection felt weaker almost like any attempt to try and reach her would have been muffled. I had heard the sounds of animal breaths getting closer and I was prepared for anything but the second that Maya’s face appeared I let the breath out but not for long after seeing her brown fur stained a deep and fresh red.
• I’ve been awake for about thirty minutes but have no urgent need to get out of bed quickly, especially since Arabella is still sounds asleep. I’ve been watching her sleep for a little while now and I can’t get over how brave she was because I could feel her fear and even though we talked about not charging into chaos without a thought I didn’t have much choice but to trust her last night, her and Aurora were the only ones who had the capability to get in and out safely I however wasn’t anticipating vampires actually showing their faces and outright attacking us.
