Chapter 64 Scared To Love

• CLARA'S POV
• I walked towards the school gate silently, tears couldn't drop down from my eyes neither could I cry out loud the way I ought to. I was gripped in fear and shock at the same time, this isn't the Leo I know, it is surprising how I failed to notice the way he threatened people with death and how he was feared by all, I was too dumb to think it was his wealth that earned him this influence. Now I know better, but it is late already. "I fell in love with a murderer? What have I gotten myself into? Why me, how did I get here?" I screamed, which got students and some passer by looking at me like I was crazy. Suddenly a car parked in front of me, I got scared and didn't bother to look at who it was because it might be Leo, surprisingly it turned out to be Jack. He had a pitiful look on his face while he walked over to me with his eyes fixed on my face which got me a little bit embarrassed. Without saying a words, Jack pulled my left arm and took me into his car. I followed him reluctantly, it must was the best option for me at the moment because I looked miserable, so I didn't refuse his offer to drop me off at that monster's house. Even when we got to Leo's house, Jack followed me and made sure I got to my room safely.
• " I'm scared Jack" I said to Jack the moment he turned to leave my room, my heart began to beat very fast like I had been running or doing a very tough work. I was scared of Leo now, all I wished for, is to stop working in his house but he had threatened to kill the only family I have left in the world. My mum was the only child her parent bore, while my dad never introduced his family to my mum, so even if my dad had siblings, I don't know who they are or where they are, talk less of knowing my cousins. Jack walked back to where I was standing and tapped my head gently before giving me a tight hug. For a second, I thought of pulling myself away from him but I really needed the hug so I let my broken self feel the comfort of Jack's perfect body, even though it wasn't as comfortable as Leo's own or maybe I was just so use to Leo's body. Jack assured me that he would be back so that I wouldn't feel insecure, he promised to convince Leo to make him live here for a while. I was really grateful to Jack, he had always been there for me, he helps me selflessly which I have always appreciated.
