Chapter 14 Mrs Kate Emergency Leave

• My alarm buzzed out loudly, forcing me to spring up from my bed. I checked the time; it had just clocked 6:00am and I needed to prepare for school. I battled with the sleep in my eyes, which was trying to overpower me again just like it had done yesterday, but this time I won. I sat on my bed for a while with my eyes still closed. I didn't like the fact that I had to prepare for school this early. Stumbling to the bathroom, I turned on the shower. The warm water ran from my head down to my toes and found its way out through the shower drain. By now I was fully awake. I was about to leave when I remembered that I hadn't brushed my teeth.
• " Damn, I keep on doing this everyday. You are always forgetting to brush first, Leo," I said, looking at the mirror, talking to no one in particular. I took out my brush, applied my toothpaste to it, and went to the sink. After a few minutes, I came out of the bathroom using my towel to clean the water that had been dripping from my hair while I was brushing. I went to my wardrobe to bring out my uniform, looking at it thoroughly in order to take note of any stains, but I was satisfied when I couldn't find any.
