Chapter 20 The Truth

• CLARA'S POV
• I tuned the door knob, about to open the door, but I stopped when I heard the master last sentence.
• "How is it possible that he was going to kill them, why would he even do it at the first place? He was probably just pulling their legs because he was angry" I thought, not until I heard him telling his guard to take them to the torture room. Who would have thought that there was a torture room for maids in this house. I closed the door gently, resting my head on the door, I have really caused a big mess. The workers were crying, pleading for their lives, I bent down looking transfixed. How would these innocent people die because of me, I couldn't think of any way to cover up this big mess I had just caused. This was the moment when I wish I could turn back time. I opened the door slowly, in order to avoid the creaky sound being heard. I saw Renata crying, she was being dragged roughly by one of the guard. Hot tears were beginning to roll down my cheek, I tried to wipe them but they kept on coming like a running tap. I ran my hand through my hair, looking confused.
