Chapter 16 Staring Contest

• I was running towards the bus-stop, already getting close. A black expensive car speedily drove past me like the owner was being chased. On getting to the bus-stop, there was not available bus there. I stood there stamping my feet, waiting impatiently for the next bus. Thirty minutes had gone, there was no sight of any bus, I was frustrated and cursed those security men for delaying me.
• " Finally!" I screamed at the sight of a bus which was still far away. People around were beginning to stare at me, while some where laughing. Immediately the bus there, I hurriedly force myself in, pushing anyone and anything blocking my way.
• When I was dropped at the school gate and there was sign of any student, the school compound was deserted. I started walking as fast as my leg could carry me, I didn't want to run so it wouldn't be so obvious that I had come late. When I got to the hall way, I increased my pace. I heaved a sign of relief when I saw my class. On getting to the class, I could hear noise and it was definitely coming my class. I peeped through the glass window on the door. I noticed the teacher wasn't in the class, I was relieved but still had one problem, which was avoiding the stare of my classmates. I decided to hurriedly enter the class, walking very fast to my sit.
