Chapter 72 Seventy Two

  • Lila tossed and turned in bed all morning; she had been so restless. The entire day yesterday went by the same. After lunch, dinner was still the same, with her mom fussing over Elizabeth and her child with little attention to her. It made no sense to Lila because the last children were the ones that they usually spoilt, but in the case of her mother, it was the reverse. It seemed like Elizabeth was a little more like her mother, so the woman took a liking to her more than anyone else.
  • She finally pushed aside the laziness she felt and sat up in bed; she looked around, and Levi was nowhere to be seen. She was not surprised, as he was an early riser and she had known that from the honeymoon. Maybe he was out exercising. She glanced at the time and noticed it was getting closer to the time for breakfast.
  • She hurriedly got out of bed and went on to freshen up because her mom would talk about her showing up to eat breakfast in her pyjamas. She styled her hair before heading downstairs. The house seemed too quiet for a place that houses a lot of people, and Lila could not understand why. It was like she was the only one with him, so she went back to the room where her sister had stayed. She knocked and waited for the door, but no one came to get it; it was as if there was nobody on the other side.
