Chapter 53 Fifty Three

• As soon as Lila walked into the room, Levi could tell that she was not the same woman he had left behind. Something must have happened. She looked sad and angry at the same time. She did not acknowledge his presence; instead, she moved to one of the couches and sat silently. Levi wanted to ask her what was troubling her, but he was not sure if she would appreciate the efforts or even tell him what was wrong.
• He waited a few minutes for her to come forward by herself to tell him what was wrong but nothing happened, leaving of her to speak She sat still, looking ahead. "Lila?" he called because the silence was killing him. They had just resolved their differences and agreed to be friends, and that meant they could rely on each other.
