• Lila and Levi tried their best to avoid what had happened the night before. It was awkward and Lila was afraid to bring it up in case Levi dismissed it as nothing because this was not nothing to her. She also did not want to worry him so she avoided talking about what had happened between herself and her mom. She was convincing herself that all she had to do was find a solution to the problem before Levi got to know about it and that was what she was going to do.
• The next morning, when Levi left the house for the office, she decided to visit her parents, hoping she could change their minds about it without it escalating. Just in case she did not succeed, she called her sister to inform her of what she was about to do. Victoria was happy that one of them was finally standing up to their parents, but Elizabeth thought that it was a foolish idea, and it might get her into more trouble than she was already in.
