• Levi stood by the door, shocked that she shut the door in his face. He had done this to get on her nerves, and he wondered how she always controlled herself. “Are you sure you are okay with the room?” he called out, trying to get a reaction from her but was met with silence.
• “If you want, we can swap it out,” he called again.
• Lila sat on the bed holding onto herself; she was not going to be the one to start something with him; he was being more than a pain in the ass to her, and she was just trying her best to make sure that they lived right. “One year is not that long of a time,” she murmured to herself.
