Chapter 105 One Hundred And Five

• Lila was tired of the awkward air between her and Levi; they were supposed to be friends, and she wanted that back. The one where they could talk and not get at each other's throats, and they could just coexist without anyone feeling threatened. She wanted that and because she knew that Levi was most likely not to come forward first, she decided to break the ice between them and speak to him first.
• She went down that morning early and met Levi back from his exercise, gulping down water in the kitchen. Seh cleared her throat to announce her presence. "I want to talk to you; can we talk?" she asked, pulling a chair at the breakfast table and taking a seat without giving him many options to opt out.
• Levi closed up the bottle and dropped the bottle to the table before sitting down opposite her. "The air between us is driving me insane and I want to call a truce," she said. She had practised a great speech in the mirror that morning but as soon as she saw his arms and biceps on display, all of it flew away. She knew she had to work with whatever came out of her mouth.
