• Levi left the table as soon as he felt guilty. Why did he care what Lila did when she was divorced from him or what Beth said? It was not as if he was in love with her anyway. He could not shake off the feeling from his mind, but all of that disappeared as soon as he got a call from the office. He knew it must be important, seeing that they were calling before the start of the day.
• Lila had cleared out the table with Beth and then decided she was going to play with the kids; she was still running after them when she overheard Lebi's call. She told the kids to run off on their own to play while she stayed back to listen. It sounded serious and urgent and she wanted to know if there would be any way she could be of help to him.
