• Levi had an off day, and he suggested that they see a movie together at the theatre. Lila agreed without thinking too much about it; after all, she was glad that the distance between them might be resolved by this. She did not know what he was thinking since he did not say a word about it and the air around them was tense. She missed how it was when they were friends and stayed together instead of how it is between them now.
• All she got from him were mumbles of greeting and a bare, halfhearted 'How are you?'; it was as if she was forced to live in a nightmare. She hated how it felt and hoped that this would change how things were between them once and for all.
