Chapter 58 Fifty Eight

• Alicia didn’t say a thing all through the ride back to the palace. Because Shawn and Theo had work to do, they ended up dropping her in the palace and leaving, with Shawn promising her that he would be back as soon as he could. With nothing to do, Alicia retired to her room, where she intended to stay till Shawn got back.
• After a cold shower, she lay on her bed to have a rest. She was sure that Shawn’s sudden proposal was the hottest topic on the internet now, and for once since she left home, she was happy she didn’t have a smartphone. She doubted she would have overcome the temptation of checking online to hear what people had to say. Oh, for the love of God, this is why it is not good to get in touch with popular people. The last time she had had her name on hot search was three years ago, during the deaths of her family members. Now that she is involved with Shawn, the internet is going to be like a second home to her. Hell, getting involved with the royal family would do nothing but take your privacy away. Now that she has realized that, she wondered if she is really cut up for it.
• The ringtone of her phone called her attention, and she got up from the bed and got the phone from her duffel bag. There was only one person who could call her, and so she answered the call.
