Chapter 46 Forty Six

• Alicia made her way to Shawn’s quarters. She couldn’t believe it, if she opened that door now, she would automatically become his fiancée. She chuckled at that. How could a married woman become someone else’s fiancée? But he had already proposed to her yesterday. Thinking that he had requested an answer yesterday, she wondered if the offer was still open. But, it has to be, if not, he wouldn’t have avenged her today in the training, right? Or wait, could it be that he did that to show her what she was missing? Ugh, she groaned and backed away from the door. When going there, she had been sure of herself, but now, she was conflicted. Could Shawn really be serious? She means, who proposes to a married woman?
• “But you won’t be married for long, remember? And besides, are you going to keep calling this a marriage? A marriage in which your husband had impregnated another woman when he had never even touched you?” Nala said to her and from her tone, Alicia knew that the wolf was angry with her delay. If there was anyone happy about Shawn’s proposal, it was Nala. Alicia had spent the whole night asking the white wolf why she wanted to be married to Shawn but Nala couldn’t even answer. She only kept repeating that there was something different about him, something she couldn’t ignore, and that kept pulling her wolf strings to him.
• In the end, Alicia knew there was nothing she could do again, not when her wolf was already that attracted to the man. And not to forget the fact that he really could help her quest. Someone like him would make everything a lot easier than she would have done on her own.
