• Alicia couldn’t believe her ears, and her eyes went to Shawn instantly. Shawn grabbed her hand under the table to comfort her, before he turned his gaze to Donald. “That is unacceptable. If you tell me that you have agreed with Council Chairman, Duke Monroe, to take her in as your third wife, I have no objection, but if I am the one to be married to her, than I will tell you this, brother, you do not have the right to choose a wife for me.”
• Donald nodded, “I know you would say that, but we also agreed that while you would be married to Stephanie, you can still marry as many other wives as you would want. That means, should you find your fated mate tomorrow, Stephanie would not come in between you marrying her and making her your Luna.”
• “So in other words, Stephanie is going to be nothing but a political wife,” Shawn said.
