Chapter 26 Twenty Six
- Alicia felt her heart miss a series of beats, the man’s eyes were as black as the night sky, the black mask covered half of his face, and his hair strands blew up gently by the breeze. She gulped, her eyes going from his face to his muscular arm pointing the dagger to her throat and then to the shining dagger.
- “Spy?” He asked, his voice was surprisingly soft compared to the cold glint in his eyes, definitely not matching what his eyes were saying. His voice sounded like he was asking her how was the weather today, how could he be so deceiving?
- “Of course not,” she breathed out, trying not to shout lest the dagger cut her throat.
