Chapter 55 Fifty Five

• Alicia and Shawn got to the council hall just a few minutes before twelve. While the reporters around rushed to interview Shawn, Theo and the soldiers with him pushed them away, making way for Shawn and Alicia to successfully enter the council hall. Alicia saw Donald sitting on his throne and overseeing everything that was going on. She glanced around and saw Amelia sitting in a private room.
• “You will sit there,” Shawn said, pointing at the spot for people who have cases to report. “Unfortunately, I won’t be sitting with you.”
• Alicia frowned. “Where will you be sitting?” She asked, she hasn’t failed to notice that since they got out of the car in front of the hall, Shawn has been keeping his distance from her. She knows it was because, to the outside world, she was a married woman who had come to meet the king, but after staying all morning acting all cozy with him, she felt burned by the fact that he wouldn’t even hold her hand.
