Chapter 50 Fifty

• Alicia came down wearing a mermaid-shaped beige dress. Her snow-white hair was in a braided updo, with two curls falling on her face. She had on a light make-up, all she had done herself because there was no time to invite either a hairstylist or a makeup artist. The hairdresser they have in the salon was a soldier and didn’t know a lot of party hairstyles. Alicia had picked up the few things she needed or that she could find from the mall, with Shawn promising her that he would make sure everything would be available the next time they had to attend a party.
• Since they were going to the palace for the birthday party, there was no need to come back to the pack to leave again the next day, so Shawn had her pack the few necessary things she needed, promising to take her shopping outside the pack. As she climbed down the stairs, she saw Shawn standing by the TV console and going through his phone. He was dressed in a black shirt underneath a black blazer with black pants. His hair was in a low ponytail, adding to his charm. He was like a handsome devil, and to be honest, that was what he was.
• Shawn looked up then, and she saw the surprise in his eyes. He looked mesmerized, and it made her body tingle. this was the expression she had expected from Leo, but instead, he gave it to Selina. Shawn slowly walked towards the stairs, and she waited for him. Everything he did reminded her of that day she saw Leo awestruck by Selina’s dress. She could remember how hurt she felt that day, realizing that she was his second option. Now, a man, twice as handsome as Leo, taller, stronger, and obviously richer than Leo could ever hope to be, was looking at her like she was the most priceless jewel on earth.
