Chapter 39 Thirty Nine

• The news of Shawn’s recovery was made known in the pack, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief, everyone but Alicia. She was happy that he was okay, that he was fine, but she was also scared of what it would be now. She knew he would send for her soon, and she lived each day in fear of his summons.
• Four days passed in the blink of an eye, and Alicia was confused as she was surprised. No one had seen Shawn around, but the king’s emissary had left a day after he woke up, so it was obvious the news was not a lie. However, she cannot understand why he has not sought her out; she had believed it would be the first thing he would do as soon as he woke up, or could it be that he really lost his memory? His wound was serious, so it won’t be a surprise if he doesn’t really remember what happened that night, but the problem was that it might only be temporary. So, what would she do when he eventually remembers?
