Chapter 49 Forty Nine

• On getting to the station, Alica saw people in four lines. They were not dressed in uniform, and she knew they were the new recruits. She saw Theo talking with a white-haired man, and as Shawn drove to pack the car, she saw a red-haired and her breath cut in her throat. As soon as the car was parked, she jumped out of it and rushed to the people gathered.
• “Alicia?” She heard Shawn behind her but didn’t stop.
• “Margaret?” She called and the red-haired turned from the discussion she was having with another lady.
