Chapter 52

• He didn’t say anything for the longest time; he just stood there and stared at her. For a moment, she wondered if he’d heard her. However, she was informed that he had by the sound of his breathing and his darkened eyes. Then, when his eyes moved down the length of her throat, she knew he had caught sight of how irregularly her heart was thumping in the middle. He dropped his head to kiss her before she had time to blink. His hand reached under her wrap dress as his tongue plunged between her lips. His fingers started to slide up her thighs as his tongue continued to prod her mouth; the sensation of his hands on that part of her caused something inside of her to uncurl, and she exhaled a breathless sigh.
• She knew at that moment the heat was on. Before she realized he’d done so, he had inched her backwards and the cheeks of her behind aligned with the table. He withdrew his mouth from hers long enough to whisper, “I can’t wait to get my tongue inside of you.” His words sent all kinds of sensations swirling around in her stomach, and a deep ache began throbbing between her legs.
• The heat was not just on; it was almost edging out of control. She could feel it growing even further when his fingers crossed from her thighs into her underwear. She moaned about how deeply he was kissing her and how she thought her brain would explode from all the sensations flooding through it as he recaptured her mouth. She made an effort to keep up as his tongue meticulously swept her mouth. He then showed her that she was mistaken as his fingers wiggled beneath the waistband of her pants to start massaging her in a way that all but destroyed her senses just as she had believed they were beginning to return to normal.
