• Two months later. EWI Summer Showcase - Las Vegas…
• Luna had never felt so alone as she did since the two months of not having Gunner by her side. Waking up without him there next to her, and knowing he would never remember her, was more than she could bear. She hadn’t even had time to grieve, but now that Summer Showcase weekend was here, heading into the colosseum, her heart felt like it would break into a million pieces. The only thing keeping her together was the hope that if Gunner saw her in the crowd, maybe he would remember. It was a slim hope, but it was all she had.
• Although she tried her best to seem excited for the sake of her family, deep down her heart was breaking. Seeing Gunner again was a dagger to the heart, especially if his eyes passed over her without a hint of recognition.
