• “Luna, I’ve been trying to call all day. Are you okay? Where have you been?” Gunner was in a panic. He couldn’t read her mind completely unless they were in the same vicinity unless she had daydreams. She hadn’t done that for a while, and he was starting to worry maybe something was wrong.
• “I’m fine. I did have a run-in with my cousin’s ex-girlfriend. He dumped her like a bad habit. Then he and Dee admitted they love each other for the first time. It was like a Jerry Springer episode here earlier. You should have seen it. It was epic.”
• “So, everything’s all right? Why didn’t you answer your phone? I’ve been worried sick.”
