• A bit over a week after my last meeting with Claire, I was still restless. I missed her, and a part of me regretted the way I handled things. I was impetuous. I shouldn’t have told her I was in love with her, but I couldn’t leave after trying to lie and foolishly worsen the situation. I respected her and wanted her to know she wasn’t just a fling for me.
• A chuckle tickled my throat. A simple ‘no strings attached’ had been our arrangement since the very beginning. Nothing serious, no feelings. These rules were put by her, and yet, she was the first one to confess there was something more between us. Claire was so crazy, and I loved that about her.
