• Exhaustion and boredom had crawled over my shoulders and stiffened them. I’d checked like 90% of the internet looking for ideas. I huffed at my exaggeration, but it felt real. I had two days to think of a grandiose idea to present to Jackass, and he loved fancy stuff. His whole style and being were fancy. Stonehead always had his eyebrows trimmed, his sandy blond hair was styled, and he had cuffs on his suits. I shivered when I remembered all the napkins he had and put in his pocket every day. I could bet he owned at least fifty. Ugh, he was disgusting. No matter how good or bad looking he was, his attitude was atrocious. Sick pervert.
• I already had something in mind, and it wasn’t anything too extraordinary, but I hoped it was elegant enough to catch Stonehead’s attention. It consisted of numerous light bulbs that resembled a canopy of a bed and slid sliding down from the middle of the ceiling to the walls. A part of them would be beaming in red, and a part—in blue. Just like the canopy over a bed. I hoped it would bring some sense of coziness and let the guests relax. But at the same time, I wanted the atmosphere to be formal, so I needed to make some balance.
