• Waking up at three in the morning was never a good thing for me. It reminded me of the countless times my father brought women in the house. My skin prickled. Oh, the joys of living with other people. I could even hear these joys now. Maxim was snoring like a pig.
• I sat up on the sofa and let my feet rest on the ground. My gaze caught the keyboard next to them, and I shivered. I hadn’t put a blanket over my shoulders, and now, I was cold. The clear night sky shone in my eyes, and I looked at it. It was so beautiful. Seattle was a big city, and you could rarely see the stars, but tonight, it felt like I could spot a few of them.
