- When I finally got rid of another annoying conversation, I started looking for my friends. It was time to move. Slipping through the crowd, I grunted when somebody crashed into me.
- “Sorry,” an unfamiliar man apologized, and my brows knitted. He had dark hair and awkward blue eyes that I felt like were stabbing me like knives. His jaw was set, and he seemed way too disheveled to fit in a place like this.
