• I spent the last few days in complete boredom. Work was going fine for once, and I was impatient for the next few weeks to pass as quickly as possible. I would be able to get my permanent contract, and I wouldn’t let Stone-head torture me. No more despair over my head.
• But since I became friends with Samantha, he somehow became a bit more careful with me. Was I just overthinking things, or was there something going on between them? I didn’t even want to imagine that possibility. Sammy was a strong woman, and she didn’t deserve a man who was ready to cheat with every girl who wanted a pay raise and generously accepted their attention.
