Chapter 52 Preparing For The Summit - Lucas

• Lucas leaned back and let his head hang off the back of the chair. He was dead tired, and there was still a lot of work to do. He glanced at the stacks and stacks of unfolded leaflets on the tables and cringed. It was a long day already, and it looked like it was going to be a much longer night.
• Part of him wondered if this was all going to be worth it. He'd been to a lot of Summits, even since he was a child and his father was still a minor Beta in the Redclaw Clan. Recently he'd been going even though his father had essentially excommunicated him from Clan Redclaw, mostly to try and change the minds of the Alphas - or the potential Alphas among the Betas in attendance. His success had been rather limited, but he'd always persisted.
• Persisting felt a lot harder after folding a thousand leaflets that a lot of people aren't going to read.
