Chapter 21 Parasite
- Isabella sighed, staring down at the two empty wine glasses in front of her. Jack Fisher had stormed off, leaving her with nothing but two wolves she knew she couldn't trust, a bottle of unfinished wine, and her thoughts. She knew this was a risk, but the longer the stalemate continued between Viktor and Lucas, the more dangerous the situation would become. Especially if it's true that there is a priestess Fated to each of them.
- When the door opened she quietly gathered her clutch handbag and walked out, not looking at the pilot who held the door open for her. She stepped out into the dark, cold night, casting a glance at the moon and wondering if the Goddess was watching over her now. Of course she was. Isabella was doing the Goddess' work. There was no other path for her and the Venator Lupus. Her view of the moon was blocked as she stepped inside a limo waiting to take her to the Redclaw compound.
- Viktor Redclaw's home was impressive, as befitted the CEO of Redclaw Enterprises. Even though she'd been here many times before, the scale of it always managed to surprise her. She had to admit that, even without his Alpha strength, Viktor was a formidable force in the world, both the werewolf one and the human. The limo stopped at a gate guarded by two betas and after a brief security check, they let her in without incident. The old valet, Rumsfeld, was waiting at the entrance, dressed immaculately as if he hadn't just been roused from sleep.
