Chapter 13 Argyria

  • The man lay doubled over, in the fetal position, teeth gritted and eyes squeezed shut on the bed. Tears stained the pillow under his head, and he gripped the edge of the mattress for dear life, the sheets bunched up within his clawed fingers. On the right side of his abdomen, blue discolouration spread from underneath a square bandage taped to his skin, engorged blue veins spreading out like vine like tendrils in the soil of a flower pot.
