Chapter 50 The Attack

• Dereck, Iden, Liam, Jason, Sky and Carol gathered inside and stayed in the space between us and the corridor to the exit. Soon after, we heard the sounds of fighting outside, near the entrance and further away too.
• A cold shiver ran down my spine, but when I looked into Brandon's eyes, I recognised a determination in them. There was not a single drop of worry or fear in them. I am not going to be the one who's always scared. I need to be strong too. Ever since I got my feelings back, I've been scared all the time. I am sick of it. I am not a child anymore and I will do anything to protect my loved ones.
