Chapter 32 Deception
- POV – Brandon
- I knew something was wrong from the moment a guy called Harry ran away. I sensed she was hiding something from me, but I knew it wouldn’t do any good to push her, she would only become more cautious, and I didn’t want that, so I decided to watch her for a while.
- I had no choice, I had to conduct interrogations, inform other alphas and send reports to the werewolf council. Besides, I couldn’t leave the daily tasks undone as everything was in chaos now. I had to make sure that everyone completed their tasks and focused on the most important things. That's the main reason why I asked Liam to look after my mate. I knew he wouldn’t refuse such a request, I didn’t even have to make it an order for him to accept it. I only communicated my intentions to Shawn and Liam so they knew we had to expect something awkward from Alice since she wasn't telling everything. Shawn was freaking out, but he understood that they needed me or Alice, so he hoped they wouldn’t hurt Sara and we'd be able to catch them before they did something irreversible. He wanted blood, just like me. They were trying our patience too much, but the main problem was that we couldn’t attack blindly without knowing what to expect and what packs were around. I was now sure it was Silver Mist and probably Red Fang too but I couldn’t prove anything. The only pack I was allowed to attack was Silver Mist, because it had crossed our borders and attacked our people. Red Fang I can’t attack because I heard his beta temporarily took over as alpha when Daniel became known as a criminal. We have no evidence that Red Fang is involved in Union business.
