Chapter 21 – A Miracle Or A Lie

• After a moment of silence, she spoke again.
• ‘I was only 4 years old… I know, not a very understanding child, but what if my family had come looking for me? No wonder they were so strict, I wasn’t even their own daughter, so why bother showing too much affection…’ She looked devastated and I didn’t know how to comfort her. I would feel the same, even though I didn’t know what her life was like with her fake parents, apart from the bits and pieces she just mentioned.
