• Carol used up a lot of energy fighting an invisible battle against the black mage, so she couldn’t use any healing spells, but she still used some kind of spell on me that would enchant my own healing abilities for a while. It looked like it worked, because I was able to stand up.
• I didn’t really care about my wounds because I knew they would heal soon, but I was worried about something else. When someone in the pack leaves or dies, Alpha and the others usually feel it. It feels like… I don’t even know how to explain… Like a thread has broken. Alphas feel it more than the others. And the strangest thing is that I felt it long before the black mage showed up. I don’t understand it.
