Chapter 43 A Spark Of Hope

• I was locked in a room again. This time Daniel locked the door and made sure someone guarded it.
• After the incident that once again saved me from him, even though the rescue was probably only temporary, I was slapped so hard that my head throbs until now. Daniel dragged me outside by my hair and shouted something to the witch, I couldn’t concentrate so I didn’t hear much as I was still dazed and my head was buzzing from the slap. He certainly used his alpha power for that slap, otherwise it wouldn’t have affected me so hard. The sultriness subsides, but the pain is still there.
