Chapter 22 - Second Meeting

• Brandon fell asleep after I gave him a back massage to loosen his stiff muscles. He hadn’t exercised properly for the second day in a row, and sitting behind a desk for so long is not good for your physical health. Besides, he looked exhausted. I wanted him to be able to rest in peace. While he slept soundly, I took a long bath and thought about everything. What a mess. I can’t wait until this is all over and I can sleep all day. I’m so tired too. After the bath, I washed my face with cold water a few times to refresh myself. The bath was too relaxing and I felt sleepy, but there was no more time.
• When I got back to the room, I heard Brandon groaning in dissatisfaction and I giggled. I am sure he didn’t want to get up either, but his senses were sharp. He probably wasn’t as sound asleep as I thought he was, because he didn’t lose track of time.
• ‘We’ll have to take a few days off when it's all over.’ I heard him whisper in a sleepy voice.
