Chapter 18 – Preparations

• I woke up with a feeling of anger. It’s strange, I don’t feel angry. Wait… I touched the mark on my neck. The feeling… It’s Brandon’s. Why would he be angry? I realised he wasn’t in the room, so I quickly got up, washed up, and mind linked Sara while I got dressed. I apologised for lying to her about the ritual, but she was just glad I was okay. She told me that her parents had decided to come to visit to explain everything, I didn’t ask any further because I understood that she was just as confused as I was. Sara also mentioned some sort of commotion inside the pack, but she didn’t know much since Shawn had left with the Alpha earlier that morning. I wonder what’s going on and why he's angry? As soon as I thought about it, I heard him in my head.
• 'Morning, sorry I had to leave so early. How are you?' Brandon asked softly, but I still sensed something was wrong. Well, it’s good that we can communicate through a mind link after we marked each other.
• 'I’m fine. What’s going on? I asked Sara, but she doesn’t know anything since Shawn, I assume, left with you in the morning.' I asked worriedly.
