Chapter 24 – Abduction

• ‘Alright, we can go then.’ I looked around, Jack's footsteps had disappeared, as had his scent. ‘Isn't your husband coming with us?' I asked, a little confused. I’m sure I felt him nearby before. And he was the one kept asking me to speak with them.
• ‘Oh no, maybe next time. He gets these terrible headaches from time to time and today is one of those days, so he’ll probably stay in bed for the rest of the day. 'You know, we are getting older after all.’ She chuckled uncomfortably.
• ‘Hmm… I’m sure he was somewhere nearby a few moments ago…’ I said thoughtfully.
