Chapter 13 – Puzzle

• We walked back to the room in silence. Each of us in our own thoughts. When we reached the room, he was the first to break the silence.

Brandon explained briefly, giving me a kiss on the forehead and leaving the room as I nodded in agreement.
• I slumped down on the bed and thought. It’s even more complicated now. All the options I have are life-changing ones. The first is to try to break the eternal frost spell, accept my mate, become a Luna of this pack, and break a Sealing spell that restricts us. That would help our whole nation. The second option would be to have someone mark me, as long as it wasn’t my fated mate. I could avoid the pain from being triggered by my own spell, but I would condemn everyone to live with the sealing spell for at least another decade. That would also hurt Brandon a lot. So, the third option left to me would be to die, which would have the same result as the second option, except I wouldn’t have to be used by anyone for the rest of my life.
