Chapter 12 – Complications

• We stayed in bed for a while. After some time, I felt normal again, as if nothing had happened. Could it be that this pain is related to the mate bond somehow weakening the spell? I’ll think about it later, we need to see Daniel and get the information out of him. I looked at Brandon, his worried look hadn’t changed since the moment he entered the room.
• ‘I’m fine, nothing to worry about. Can we go and see Daniel now?’ I begged.
• ‘Only if you explain to me what just happened here.' He left no room for negotiation.
