• I was thrilled, or that is what I forced myself to feel. The next few days of my life were spent perspiring for the full moon ceremony, trying to push aside the doubts that crept into my mind. Everything must be perfect, my father’s plan was flawless, but still, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was off. I’ve tried to think it through, like, what else would make me feel this way?
• Caden, the one I thought would be Alpha and whom I was to be mated to, was no longer a viable option as his title was shifted to his twin. And there was Jace, the calm brother and most reasonable. I would have even been more thrilled that Jace was now going to be Alpha and seeing his growing infatuation towards me, things should be smooth sailing, right?
