Chapter 121
- Kathie's POV
- A dull ache pulsed through my head as I stirred awake, the cold, hard floor beneath me sending shivers through my body. Blinking against the dim light, I realized I was in a prison cell—its walls damp and lined with thick iron bars. The faint scent of mildew and despair clung to the air, making it hard to breathe.
- I groaned as I sat up, my hand instinctively reaching for the back of my head where the pain throbbed. What happened? The courtyard… Elsa… That woman. It all rushed back to me in a flood of disjointed memories.
