• "Eloise, it's me," Olivia’s voice came through, warm and familiar, though tinged with a hint of concern. "I just wanted to check up on you. Have you found Kathie yet?"
• Eloise sighed, rubbing a hand over her face as he turned away from the window. "No, Olivia," she said, her voice heavy with frustration. "Kathie disappeared from the werewolves’ estate about a week ago. Someone told me she vanished without a trace, and there’s been no sign of her since."
