Chapter 1981 A Little Banter
- Cindy knew Ian would feel upset if she told her that Gary was having lunch with her, but she wanted to be honest. She was worried he might get angry if he knew about it somehow. Cindy might be a sentimental woman, but she could be rational when it came to her boundaries. She knew there mustn't be any secrets between a couple, or the relationship might end up ruined just because of one little lie.
- Ian was quiet. Obviously, he was bothered.
- Cindy couldn't do anything about that, so she explained, "Don't worry. He just thinks of me as a friend, that's all. I don't think he would even like me. He has a lot of great women for him to choose from."
