- As she walked away, she remembered what Gary told her, and she thought of the call Ian made in the room the day before. She had asked him who he was calling, but he only cracked a joke instead of answering. So he called Gary, I guess. He knows Gary helped me, but he didn’t tell me. Cindy was starting to feel panicked about the matter.
- Ian had always been worried about the matter between her and Gary, just like how she worried about his matter with Yulia. Cindy knew Ian would be frustrated after finding out that Gary helped her without him knowing about it. She wanted to explain it to him, but it might sound too deliberate. This is really frustrating.
- Because of this matter, her work went a lot slower in the afternoon. She couldn’t even finish even when it was nearly time to get off work, so she decided to put in some overtime. He probably won’t come home on time. Even if I go home, I’ll still be alone and have nothing to do. Eventually, her colleagues left, and she was alone in the office.
