- John looked at her, too. Their eyes met, then they fidgeted. Sophia retracted her gaze first, and with her back turned on him, she blinked. Why does he have to smile like that? How can a woman who hasn’t seen much of the world like me possibly resist him?
- John kept on washing his vegetables, and a moment later, he smiled. Ian arrived a short while later, and when he came in, he saw them working in the kitchen, a tad surprised. He didn’t know what John was like at home, but when he saw Logan working with them, he had the shock of his life. Ian looked on for a while before going inside. “Do you need my help?”
- Before Sophia could answer, Logan waved him down. “No need for that. You sit down for a bit. We have more than enough hands here, so the meal will be ready soon.”
