- They were already married and had enough money to live comfortably, so the next step would be to get a few kids. That was how most people lived; they got married, had a few kids, raised a family, and worked hard to support their family.
- Ian had no idea if Cindy was pregnant, but he figured she probably wasn't. So, he told Logan they were in no hurry to get any children. "I'd like to have some time alone with her. We might be married, but we haven't had much alone time. I used to be busy, and now I'm even busier, so I have no time. Once my contract expires, I'll spend some time with her." Ian's life used to fill with nothing but work, but now he was in no hurry to do anything. He talked to Logan for a while longer and hung up when Lola called Logan over.
- Then, Ian went back to his bedroom. Cindy was leaning on the back of the bed, scrolling through her phone. Ian didn't even need to check out what she was looking at to know she was reading through Leah's case. There was a frown on her brows, and she looked solemn. He sat beside her and pinched her cheek. "Why the long face? Calm down. No matter what happens out there, it has nothing to do with us." He slid his hand down and touched Cindy's collarbone. She knew he was trying to calm her down.
