Chapter 1771 They Meet

  • Cindy looked at Aurora. “That’s just adding unnecessary problems to your plate. You’ll be upset if you find out about it. If you just want to laugh at her, then I think we can make this visit, but I don’t think we should go if that’s what you want to know.”
  • Aurora shook her head. “I know I’ve neglected Ian for a long time. He can hate me all he wants, but I still want to know what his childhood was like.” She did try to get an answer out of Ian in daily conversations, but Ian never wanted to bring his old life up. Every time she brought the topic up, Ian would just avoid it. She had also asked Bryce if he knew what kind of childhood Ian lived when she went to visit Bryce at the hospital, but Bryce said nothing.
  • That response was enough to chill Aurora to her bone. Bryce might have known nothing, or he just couldn’t bring himself to talk about it, but either way, that meant Ian’s childhood hadn’t been good. She knew the truth would hurt her, but she didn’t want to be kept in the dark. She wanted to know how much her neglect had cost her own son.
