Chapter 2007 Rather Odd
- Gary handed the phone over to Ian after a while. "I'm sorry. I didn't know things would turn out this way."
- Ian took his phone back. "Don't get me wrong, Mr. Frye; I don't mean to blame you for anything. I just hope you understand how tough you're making it for us. We're extremely thankful for your kind actions, but these actions may be easily misunderstood. Cindy's a girl, so she may not be able to handle this."
- Gary nodded. "I understand." When Gary claimed that he understood, Ian trusted that Gary had truly understood his words. That was the perk of conversing with a smart man—they didn't need to state things too clearly. As long as the other party's intellect was on par with his, they'd easily guess each other's intentions.
